Context

2023 marks the 25th anniversary of the Marvelous Digital agency and its anchoring in the Vevey landscape. With this in mind, we want to implement a multi-partner project that will showcase the city, its commercial players, and the relationships that the agency has built up over time with these partners.

Objectives

The project presented in this document is geared around 5 main goals:

Gaining brand awareness in the Vevey area and with local service providers: Although our presence in the city is already firmly established, the agency itself and the scope of our activities aren’t as well known to some of the town's key players. We want to strengthen our image through this project.

Strengthening our corporate identity by sharing our values: Our DNA as an agency is strongly marked by essential values, with a special focus is on everything local, as well as sincere relationships with partners close to us.

Highlighting the nature of our Gamification activities The Gamification department is a unique service within our agency, where we use playful mechanisms to achieve concrete business objectives.

Creating a link with the city Promoting the town in synergy with the agency with a unique and innovative activity

Strengthening the bond with our customers We like to share and want this anniversary to benefit our customers too, for their unfailing trust.

Our approach

Explore Vevey offers a unique treasure hunt experience across the entire city. The concept is simple: 25 hiding places have been scattered throughout the town, each marked with a 10x15 cm stainless steel plaque containing a unique QR code.

Participants are then invited to visit a dedicated web page, where they can find secret locations by following the given clues. The hiding places were carefully selected from among Vevey's most emblematic landmarks, whether they are public or represent the commercial, social and cultural players who contribute to the richness of the Vevey landscape.

Each hiding place has a dedicated mini-page on the game's website, providing brief information about the location. The project aims to enable everyone to discover the city through a fun, surprising and entirely free experience that can be adapted to their own pace. Participants can explore the 25 hiding places in any order they like, with no time constraints. A scoring system even encourages competition for those who like a challenge. This treasure hunt was designed with families and schools in mind, and also helps promote soft mobility in the streets of Vevey.

The fun and original visual universe, as well as the riddles, were entirely developed with total creative freedom, thanks to the city’s blind faith in our design and content creation teams. Each puzzle was submitted for approval to the town council and all parties involved. The general enthusiasm for this activity meant that it was able to be completed very quickly.
